Jingle Bell Junction is a wonderful craft and food fair that is offered every year. Always held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, people have the opportunity to shop at the tables of various vendors and enjoy fine food. Among the items on the menu are barbecue, stone soup, chili, hot dogs, freshly baked bread, and freshly baked homemade apple pies. Many recipes for these items have been a favorite of visitors for over 20 years.
Our Tuesday Quilters offer lovely handiwork, while the Women of the ELCA group provide a wide selection of cookies from their customary “Pic ‘n Pak.” The day is further enhanced by contributions to our baked goods table from members of the congregation. By the time the day is over, most items are gone.
The enthusiastic vendors sell a wide variety of items of food, from Sinfully Simple, Tupperware items, homemade wooden toys, crocheted items, jewelry, photos, gift baskets, birdhouses, scroll saw items and vintage jewelry. Funds raised during this event have been donated to such groups as the North Hunterdon Food Pantry, Hurricane Katrina survivors, and Lutheran Disaster Relief.
